Specific Information
- For shipments to Erbil, an authorization letter from the origin agent is required.
- Duties and taxes must be paid, which are approximately 8-10% of the declared Customs value based on the Pro-forma invoice (returning citizens).
- Diplomats can receive a diplomatic exemption if the country has an embassy in Baghdad.
- Air freight is not recommended for the import of household goods shipments. Note: Customs regulations may differ between cities. It is important to contact the destination agent for specific information prior to importation.

Specific Information
- Non-armored vehicles must be less than 2 years old for import.
- The payment of 8-10% duties and taxes is applicable if no diplomatic protocol is received from the shipper’s Embassy.
- The amount of duties and taxes are calculated based on the declared Customs value indicated on the Pro-forma Invoice

Note: Pets cannot be imported.

Consignment Instructions
Recommended: Contact the destination agent to ensure all requirements have been met prior to import, especially for differences regarding air / sea shipments.
