Specific Information

  • Visas may be obtained after entering the country, but it is strongly recommended to obtain one prior to entry.
  • The time indicated on the Djiboutian Visa is the amount of time a person is permitted to stay in Djibouti without a Residency Permit. For stays past the date indicated on the Visa, an exit tax of USD 60.00 is generally added to the cost of an airline ticket by travel agents (if traveling by air). All fees must be paid in cash.
  • Persons traveling to Djibouti are encouraged to research and consider travel warnings regarding safety and security.
